Whiskey Bent BBQ is a competitive BBQ team founded by Chad Ward and Jared Hatcher in 2007 from Lakeland, FL. These Imperial Polk County natives have grown up with a love for BBQ and fellowship. They have cooked over 80 contests across 15 states in the last 6 years. The team currently consists of:

The team has had some success over the years with 4 Grand Championships, 4 Reserve Grand Championships and over 180 Top 10 overall and category finishes in their travels. During this time, the team has done more than just cook on the national BBQ circuit. Chad was a participant on Food Network’s “Chopped! Grillmasters”, The Travel Channel’s “BBQ Crawl”, FYI’s “World Food Championships” and NBC’s “Food Fighters.” He has also made numerous appearances on NBC, Fox and CW affiliates along with local radio and print media. Chad also host a weekly internet BBQ show, Whiskey Bent “In the Pit”. You can catch the show live every Tuesday night from 7 PM – 9 PM EST on wwww.theoutdoorcookingchannel.com and Roku. Jared and Chad along with Adam Norman from Southern Bred Smokers decided that their hometown of Lakeland, FL was in need of a great BBQ supply store that could serve the most novice cook all the way up to the person that is cooking 35+ professional contest per year. With that need and the desire of those three individuals, Whiskey Bent BBQ Supply was born. The brick and mortars store at 116 S.
